Adjourn 		The special meeting of the Gadsden School Board convened in open session at 6:03 p.m. with Board President David Garcia presiding. This meeting was held in the Gadsden Middle School Cafeteria located at 1301 W. Washington Street, Anthony, NM.

Board members present were Mr. David J. Garcia, Ms. Luz Vargas, Ms. Agueda Mora, and Mr. Daniel Rollings.

2. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and the Mission Statement was read.

3. Public Interview of Candidates to Fill Board Vacancy District 4-The Board interviewed Mr. Santiago M. Burciaga.

Mr. Rollings moved to recess. Motion carried unanimously. The Board recessed at 6:35 p.m. Ms. Mora moved to reconvened in open session. Motion carried unanimously. The Board reconvened in open session at 6:55 p.m.

The Board interviewed Ms.Blanca E. Ibaņez.

The Board thanked both candidates for their interest in the GISD Board. President Garcia said that the Board would now make a decision and will appoint one of the candidates to the Board at the November 15th Board Meeting.

4. Mr. Rollings moved to adjourn the meeting. Supt. Haugen recommended approval of the motion. Motion carried unanimously. The Board adjourned their meeting at 7:22 p.m.
